A BIT ABOUT US ...

REDMAX goes back 15 years now , but we've been in the trade since the 80'S, it started like this....

My love of bikes started with Brit iron and progressed with 851/888 Ducatis into Drag racing ,Winning the Supertwins series year after year , learning to build a strong and fast engines along the way .... then Battle of the twins road racing with a 748R taken out to 1026cc, and latterly Flat tracking in the UK as it grew up from a fledgling shorttrack UK series ( racing a genuine Harley XR750 then a bespoke 920cc Norton twin ) .

We started with a small bike shop in Winchester in the 80's and progressed as a Ducati specialist in the 90's into a main dealer (or Two) into the 2000's recognised by Ducati UK and the Factory in Italy with best Technician and best dealer awards .

Around 2008 I sold out my share of the main dealer and set out on a mission to supply Flat Track and Cafe Racer parts around the world, whilst building some tasty specials ! Glenn, Tony and Rach have been with me since then , and Richard our Electrical genius has joined us around 5 years back .

We Build and ride our own creations around the Devon countryside and still enter the odd sprint and frequent various track days , generally still enjoying bikes day in day out .

Pop in and see us , by appointment for a cuppa and a chat. See our "contact us" for parts or a build / service / restoration .

Thanks Steve Hillary , Redmaxspeedshop . Devon .

Mechanic, Classic Bike Enthusiast

Dad spent his whole working life mending Trucks and when he retired he didn't wanna stack shelves he wanted to come and work with me on the bikes- so he did ! All my previous bike shops started in his garage at home.

Even at the age of 83 he still pops in and does a couple of days !
